Pen has just returned from giving a talk in Pasedena, using his visit to the States to fit in meetings with Professor Wieslaw Maslowski, one of the world's leading climatologists, and Ronald Kwok at NASA, to fill in the precise details of the data-set they require.
This was followed by the Green IT Awards ceremony in London.
Pen is being used increasingly to comment on all things Arctic and environmental, as he is possibly the only person in the world who has seen for himself what has been happening at an accelerated rate in the Arctic, 'the canary of climate change' over the past twenty years, and can discuss with passion, knowledge and objectivity the geo-political consequences of polar meltdown.
Over the past few months, Pen has been on Sky, News 24, CBS, and BBC Radio 4, commenting on subjects as diverse as Gordon Brown’s environmental plans, to the Bali summit, to paying tributes to Sir Edmund Hillary. He is also currently in talks with a number of TV producers for planned documentaries covering a wide variety of subjects, from education, to wildlife, to global warming.
