Geo Mission was a finalist at the recent 2010 European Sponsorship Awards (ESA) for Catlin Arctic Survey 2009.
The prestigious awards, administered by sponsorship industry body the European Sponsorship Association, acknowledge best practice in sponsorship across Europe. Catlin Arctic Survey 2009 was nominated in the business to community category.
The judges described the standard of entries as the highest to date. Geo Mission, along with its client Catlin Group Ltd, were honoured to be in the running alongside sponsorship programmes funded by industry giants Aviva, Barclays and British Gas.
While disappointed to miss out on the top award, Geo Mission CEO Pen Hadow said: “For the first ever Catlin Arctic Survey to be shortlisted in such a competitive field was an outstanding achievement. It reflects the range of technological and communications innovations the Catlin Arctic Survey applied and the extraordinary dedication of the team behind its delivery. It gives our pioneering environmental sponsorship agency an impressive calling card.”
